Convert a Quotation to an Invoice
Turn an accepted quotation into an invoice draft with the quoted values snapshotted.
Step 1
Open an accepted quotation
Conversion is only allowed from Accepted status. Open an accepted quotation from the list.
Step 2
Convert to invoice
Use Convert to invoice. Invoism snapshots the quoted line items and totals into a new invoice draft — it does not re-fetch current product prices, so the invoice starts with the quoted amounts.
Step 3
Review the invoice draft
You are redirected to the invoice draft. Invoice notes and terms come from your invoice defaults. Review, adjust if needed, and send as usual.
Step 4
Understand the link
The quotation moves to Converted and links to the invoice (one quotation → one invoice). If that invoice is later cancelled, the quotation stays Converted for audit; create a new invoice manually if you need to bill again.
Expected outcomes
- An invoice draft is created from the quotation
- Quotation is marked Converted and linked to the invoice
